This session will primarily feature information about the OIE required Check-in process and important pre-arrival information for new students and scholars. ISSS staff will also answer some new student frequently asked questions.

- Health & Safety
This session will feature presentations from Stamps Health Services and the Georgia Tech Police Department (GTPD). Topics covered will include health insurance, on-campus medical services, wellness resources, personal safety, and scam awareness to help you stay well and safe at Georgia Tech.

- How to Succeed as an F-1/J-1 Visa Holder
In this session, we will focus on the federal regulations for F-1 and J-1 visa holders and review how to maintain visa status while at Georgia Tech. We will also briefly review pre-arrival and check-in information. All new international students and scholars need to plan to attend this very important session.

- GT Traditions & US 101
This session is a "crash course" on the U.S. and Georgia Tech. Topics covered include academics at GT and tips for navigating life in Atlanta. The Student Alumni Association (SAA) will be in attendance to teach students about GA Tech’s history and traditions. The Center for Mental Health Care and Resources will also provide guidance related to culture shock and adjustment.

Exchange Student Information
In addition to the Welcome Series content above, the following Bilateral Exchange Student content serves our incoming non-degree exchange student population as there are requirements, reminders, and engagement specific to their short-term program.
- Exchange Pre-Arrival Webinar
This session will feature pre-arrival information specific to non-degree seeking bilateral exchange and TECHsplore students. ISSS staff will also answer some new student frequently asked questions.

- OIE Incoming Exchange Student FASET Session- Mandatory
The session takes place during the Exchange FASET Orientation offered by Georgia Tech's New Student and Transition Programs for non-degree seeking bilateral exchange and TECHsplore students. This is a mandatory event required for all undergraduate incoming exchange students. Those who are not able to attend FASET must consult with the Exchange Student team: incomingexchange@oie.gatech.edu.
Information covered includes check-in, registration, how to pay one's bill, resources, and upcoming events. This event is critical as it is where you will register for your courses.
