Upcoming OPT Workshops with Live Q&A
There is much to learn about the OPT eligibility criteria and the process students must complete in order to apply and receive their authorization to participate in OPT. We encourage all students that want to know more about OPT to view our OPT Workshop. OIE offers a recording of our OPT workshop and live OPT Q&A sessions throughout the year to help students understand the application process, status maintenance requirements, travel expectations, and more. Students are encouraged to review OIE’s OPT guidance prior to view the workshop. For OPT Workshops with live Q&A, we ask students log into the Workshop a few minutes early to ensure they don't miss any of the presentation. Thank you and we wish you the best with your practical training experience!

OPT Workshop Recording
Note: OIE is responsible for reviewing eligibility for the OPT recommendation, entering this recommendation in SEVIS, providing the I-20 with OPT recommendation to the student, and supporting the student with the maintenance of status during OPT. OIE no longer reviews the student's personal I-765 application. Students interested in having the I-765 application reviewed are encouraged to speak with a qualified immigration attorney who is licensed to practice immigration law and offer legal counsel on USCIS petitions.
